there are these friends of mine, matt and carol, and they just moved into a new apartment.  they had a little “help us move and also swim” get-together on sunday.  while we were sitting around outside, in lawn chairs, we noticed a small (giant) cicada, just sitting there.  cicadas don’t normally just sit there for hours, and it wasn’t dead, so we were wondering what was up.  turns out it had just molted a couple of feet away and was feeling pretty sluggish.

isn’t that how it always is?  leave something behind for the better, but it’s such a drain.  the hard work is enough to stall you.  such a necessity, though.  be a trooper.

You are most amazing when it comes to up close bugger shots. That guy was a very fun part of that day.
